Let’s grow in Christlikeness together as we pursue the practices of Bible study, prayer, fasting, fellowship, service, and worship.

Please fill out the form below so we can make sure you get the resources and service to make our study as beneficial to you and God glorifying as possible.

SESSION 1: SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY HYPOCRITICAL PEOPLE

We all know Christians who honor God with their lips but their actions show a heart that is far from Him. They teach traditions as if they are doctrine. They complicate the simple. They make a big deal out of little things but ignore the important things. They pretend to be better than others regardless of the cost or the evidence.

Sometimes they are us.

In this session we examine ourselves and look at seven habits of highly hypocritical people based on Jesus’s words in Matthew 23.

SESSION 2: THE DISCIPLINE OF PERSONAL BIBLE STUDY

Do you want to avoid just going through the motions? Do you want to be transformed? Do you want to be wise? Do you want to be joyful? Do you want strength? Do you want stability? Do you want confidence in God?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, let’s join together and commit afresh to the discipline of personal Bible study.

In this session we look at three specific actions to take in the area of personal Bible study, based primarily on Psalms.

SESSION 3: THE DISCIPLINE OF PERSONAL PRAYER

Rain came pouring down after a three year and six month drought when Elijah prayed. Do you feel you’re praying to the same God Elijah prayed to? Do you ever feel like you don’t have the hang of praying to your God?

Don’t worry. You’re not alone and it doesn’t have to stay that way. When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them, they were speaking to God in the flesh. Out of all the things they could have asked, we know they asked Him to teach them how to pray.

In this session we aim for practical effective prayer based on Jesus’s teaching on prayer.

SESSION 4: THE DISCIPLINE OF FASTING

Do ever feel stuck in a trial or in the pattern of sin, confess, sin, confess? Do you need encouragement, direction, or revival? Do you need an answer to prayer? According to Jesus, there are some hills to climb or obstacles to overcome that require fasting.

In this session we gain a better understanding of the discipline of fasting, one that can create hunger for God and move us toward a more authentic walk with Him.

SESSION 5: THE DISCIPLINE OF FELLOWSHIP

Quick, how did Jesus say everyone will know we are His disciples? If you answered “by the love we have for one another” (John 13:35) you are right! Being an authentic Christian requires genuine fellowship.

In this session we aim for the joy of genuine committed fellowship centered on our common relationship to Christ.

SESSION 6: THE DISCIPLINE OF SERVICE

Do you want to be great or first among your peers? Do you want continued upward personal spiritual growth? Jesus said “whoever would be great among you must be your servant” in Matthew 20:26.

In this session we look how to faithfully serve God with proper perspective and expectations.

SESSION 7: THE DISCIPLINE OF WORSHIP

Is worship the most powerful, joy-producing, hope-sustaining, life-altering thing you do? Do you feel connected to God? Do you experience and hunger for His presence?

In this session we aim to serve the Creator, fulfill our purpose, and worship together in spirit and in truth.

Each session includes:

  1. Introduction including Scripture
  2. Teaching Video (with fillable notes)
  3. Group Discussion
  4. Five days of application exercises
